Cap and Tax: NOT Good for America

wallet_burning_moneyDemocrats are trying to ram another bill down the throats of Americans without much thought for the actual outcomes of the bill.  And they’re trying to do it by TOMORROW!  Get informed by reading the article below and others that are coming out by the dozens today.  Then call your representative and let them know how you feel!  I just called mine.

WSJ’s “Cap & Tax Fiction” – “The biggest doozy in the CBO analysis was its extraordinary decision to look only at the day-to-day costs of operating a trading program, rather than the wider consequences energy restriction would have on the economy. The CBO acknowledges this in a footnote: ”The resource cost does not indicate the potential decrease in gross domestic product (GDP) that could result from the cap.  The hit to GDP is the real threat in this bill. The whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less…”

Cap-and-trade does more harm than good – “While U.S. officials vowed to learn from Europe’s mistakes, the bill sponsored by Reps. Henry Waxman (D., Calif.) and Edward Markey (D., Mass.) has many of the same flaws and adds massive “offsets” that blow away the “cap” in “cap-and-trade.” Offsets allow polluters to, for example, pay to preserve an acre of forest so they can continue burning coal above the cap. The concept’s problems are legion and well-documented.”

Obama’s Healthcare Plan is Crazy

obamacare-1Obama’s healthcare punishes the healthy! Here’s a quote from ABC’s website… not only is Obama flip-flopping on issues (or as he calls it “evolving”), he’s pressuring America into another poorly planned, quickly executed multi-trillion dollar program. It’s absurd!

For the full story – Obama’s Crazy Plan

“As a candidate, then-Sen. Obama bashed his rival for the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton, for proposing that Americans be mandated to have health insurance.

“She’d have the government force you to buy health insurance,” he said Feb. 23, 2008. “I disagree with that approach. I believe that the reason Americans don’t have health care isn’t because no one’s forced them to buy it, it’s because no one’s made it affordable.”
But now the president is acknowledging that his thinking on the issue has “evolved” and he could support a law mandating that individuals purchase health care coverage, with fines for those who do not.

Obama stressed that there must be some kind of waiver for those who are simply unable to afford it.

“People have made some pretty compelling arguments to me that if we want to have a system that drives down costs for everybody, then we’ve got to have healthier people not opt out of the system,” the president told ABC News.”

This is Real Hope and Change

No He Can’t

by Anne Wortham
Fellow Americans,

Please know: I am black; I grew up in the segregated South. I did not vote for Barack Obama; I wrote in Ron Paul’s name as my choice for president.

Most importantly, I am not race conscious. I do not require a black president to know that I am a person of worth, and that life is worth living. I do not require a black president to love the ideal of America.

I cannot join you in your celebration. I feel no elation. There is no smile on my face. I am not jumping with joy. There are no tears of triumph in my eyes. For such emotions and behavior to come from me, I would have to deny all that I know about the requirements of human flourishing and survival, – all that I know about the history of the United States of America, all that I know about American race relations, and all that I know about Barack Obama as a politician. I would have to deny the nature of the “change” that Obama asserts has come to America.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I LOVE SARAH PALIN.  To this point she’s been exactly the type of conservative I want to see more of.  2012!  Conservatives for Sarah Palin

The last 30 seconds of this call will make you cry… It’s time to act.

I don’t know what to say about this other than my thoughts and prayers go out to these people.  I can’t believe it.  You need to hear the whole thing.  Obama’s response: “I want to start off by being very clear that it is up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran’s leaders will be; that we respect Iranian sovereignty… We will continue to pursue a tough, direct dialogue between our two countries, and we’ll see where it takes us.”  Way to be tough, Obama.  Seems he’s more outraged at water boarding than this.

I remember when President George W. Bush called Iran, Iraq, and North Korea the “axis of evil.”  The media response was tepid at best but more often appalled that Bush called out these specific countries as worse than others.  Well here we are now.  Iraq is no where the threat that Iran and North Korea are… both of whom are pursuing nuclear weapons.  President Bush had the foresight to see that these countries were a threat and to neutralize one of them.  I can only hope Obama has the guts to do the same.

“They are killing students with axe.  You know they put the axe through the heart of young men.  It’s so… devastating.  I don’t know how to describe it.  I can’t find the words, but this is horrific.  This is genocide.  This is a massacre.  This is Hitler!  You people should stop it.  I mean, it [starting to cry] long time we have been exposed to this and nobody takes action.  It’s time to act!” – Iranian woman
